La Mesa Project
A gold and silver project in the Sierra Madre Occidental.
The La Mesa mining unit is located in the municipality of Pueblo Nuevo, Durango. It is an underground gold and silver mine with a leaching plant designed for 250 tonnes per day, which will produce precipitate and doré.
The project is in its development stage and the processing plant is under construction. The site is reached by unpaved roads, and there is a light-aircraft airstrip in the area.

RenderPlant
Designed on terraces: crushing, ball mill, six agitation tanks, precipitation and smelting to obtain doré.
RenderAccess
Unpaved roads between the mine, the plant and the light-aircraft airstrip.
Process
From the deposit to doré in four stages.
- 01
Exploration and geology
Drilling, sampling and geological modelling to define the mineralised bodies precisely and plan extraction.
- 02
Development and extraction
Preparation of access, works and infrastructure, and underground mining in accordance with the safety plan and the authorised environmental management programme.
- 03
Leaching
Crushing of the ore and recovery of gold and silver by leaching, with precipitation and smelting to obtain precipitate and doré.
- 04
Refining and sales
Precipitate and doré are refined into pure metals to be sold to specialised refiners and buyers, with the traceability and documentation required by law.
